What to expect?
Beginning therapy for your child or family is a BIG decision. I want to help you navigate this path!

Play Therapy
The first session will be a one-on-one with you, the parent or caregiver. This will allow me to learn more about your concerns and what is bringing you to counseling. Our first session will be where we create goals and a plan to support you and your child. After our first session, we will schedule sessions for your child. At the first session, I will begin to work one-on-one with your child in the playroom. You can expect parent consultation sessions after every four sessions, where I will give you tools and skills to support your child's growth at home.

Teens/Tweens
I will meet with parents and/or caregivers to get a better understanding of what you are concerned about. Then I will partner with your teen to help create goals and figure out what they want from therapy. We will focus on creating a safe and engaging space for teens to explore the challenges of being a teen in the modern age. When it comes to incorporating parents and caregivers, I work to empower teens to increase communication with parents.

Parenting Education
Whether you chose to just work with me through a parent education program or incorporate education through my work with your child, you can expect developmentally appropriate and individualized education. I will work to help you understand your child and choices as a parent when it comes to discipline, communication, connection and routines.

Collaboration
I recongize I am one small piece of you and your child's world. When appropriate, I love partnering with your child's school, prescribing doctors and other therapists to ensure that we are all on the same page to support you and your child.
